Caroline Sara went to  Eastbourne College of Domestic Economy, East Sussex in 1989, where she qualified as a chef with Distinction Certificates in Cordon Bleu and Advanced Cordon Bleu, HNC Diplomas in Front Office and Hospitality, Health and Hygiene, Certificate for Gardner Merchant Examination in Food Hygiene, Health and Safety and distinctions in Wine Appreciation and Home Economics.

She went on to work as a chef at ‘Rannies’ Restaurant, Eastbourne, followed by several other establishments including chef at ‘Asterix’ in Andorra, ‘Swan House’ in Chester, RAF Leuchars in Fife, Healy Catering in Edinburgh, freelance chef for the ex-pats in Portugal and culminating in Offshore Chef on MSV “Regalia”, based in both Norway and Aberdeen.

Years later Caroline left catering altogether to work in the tourism industry, finally becoming a Visitor Services Manager for the Royal Household at Windsor Castle. She never lost the thirst for her catering though and she provided for many catering events alongside her then full time profession which included:

Caroline is assisted by her husband Andy who is a retired Police Officer from the Metropolitan Police and who now performs other duties as her Commis Chef and personal assistant.

They arrived in the Scottish Borders from London in late 2015 and are in the process of establishing themselves as ‘Small Event Caterers’, taking in all manner of smaller catering events for private individuals in their own homes or at a chosen venue. In this field they have always worked alone, but employing a small group of professional and capable waiting staff and assistants for front of house duties where necessary.
